Dogwood Aussies

Our Family:

We are a dog loving bunch, originally from Massachusetts.  The Lord moved us down here to Alabama in June of 2014 and we absolutely love it here in the south.

Our Aussie Journey started the Summer of 2017.  We were on vacation and found out that our 11 year old Papillon dog Rascal had unexpectedly passed away. We were heartbroken to say the least, but as part of the healing process we started looking at getting another dog.  

We found Rocky, our Black Tri that weekend at a ranch in Mississippi and fell in love with him.  Shortly after that we had an unmistakable desire from the Lord to breed Aussies.  We gave our two females, who are actually sisters a home here in March of 2018. Shyanne is a Blue Merle, and Sierra is a Red Merle.  All three of them are a wonderful joy to care for and love on.  We are blessed beyond expectation and we hope and pray to help provide other dog loving families the same joy we experience everyday with our Aussies.

The Name Dogwood Aussies:

As we were entertaining name suggestions for our new breeding adventure we came up with Dogwood Aussies.  Our home address has Dogwood in it, but we love the name more because our Savior Jesus Christ was crucified on a Roman cross said to be made from a Dogwood tree. We are thrilled that our name highlights the greatest of all Who demonstrated His everlasting love for us as He shed His precious blood for our sin on that cross.
